Harry Kane announced on Wednesday that he will be staying at Tottenham beyond this summer transfer window – and some Chelsea fans on Twitter have celebrated the news to claim it gives them a major boost in the Premier League title race.


England captain Kane has posted on social media today to reveal he will be staying at Spurs this summeThis message from the 28-year-old comes after a move to Manchester City failed to materialise, despite massive speculation linking him with a switch to the Etihad Stadium.


Sky Sports explains that Man City’s £100million offer for the centre-forward in June failed and they couldn’t match Spurs’ price tag in the end after negotiations. 


There is less than a week now for any clubs to conduct their transfer business, so all eyes are on Man City to see if they turn their attention on a new striker target. r.
