Transfer News: Manchester United receive fresh hope in Erling Haaland chase

According to The Express, Manchester United have received a boost in signing Borussia Dortmund forward, Erling Haaland, next summer.

The Red Devils have had the Norwegian on their radar all summer, but the player’s £170million valuation has made it quite difficult for any club to sign him during the current transfer window.

Moreover, United officials are also said to be ‘excited’ by the fact that Chelsea have missed out on the signing of Haaland this summer, who have now shifted their attention to former Manchester United player, Romelu Lukaku.United would be fully aware that Erling Haaland is believed to be available for nearly £67million next summer due to a clause in his contract – a number that might appeal to United more than the sum being quoted during this window. Signing the player next summer would also bode well for the Red Devils, as their current centre-forward, Edinson Cavani, is expected to be a free agent by 2022.
