The Blues have earned an extraordinary amount this summer from various outgoings and earned another cash injection with the departure of the Italian.

Chelsea confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that Davide Zappacosta had departed the club to join Atalanta on a permanent deal.


His move back to Italy brings to an end a four-year association with the Blues after joining from Torino, albeit having had loan spells in Serie A with Roma and Genoa.


football.london understands that Chelsea have managed to recoup €10million (£8.5million) for the Italian’s services, taking their summer transfer income well over the £100million mark, with the Blues having negotiated with a number of Serie A clubs throughout the window.
