What Romelu Lukaku promised Chelsea teammates in training ahead of Liverpool clash

Romelu Lukaku has promised to teach his Chelsea teammates how to score ahead of the Blues’ trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool.

The Belgium international enjoyed a successful start to life back at Stamford Bridge following his record move from Inter, scoring just 15 minutes into his second debut in a 2-0 victory against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. It was just the start that Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea supporters will have wanted from Lukaku, with the Blues frontline having struggled to consistently find the net last season.

Whilst the Belgian certainly appears to be the solution to the problem, and has 252 senior club goals across his career to prove it, the 28-year-old has also promised to help his teammates get up to scratch this season too.In a video released by Chelsea ahead of the game over the weekend, they showed Lukaku being his usual clinical self by firing home a number of drives during training.

Immediately after a particularly fierce shot that hit the back of the net after striking the post, Lukaku appeared to receive plenty of acclaim from his teammates, to which he replied: “Oh my god. Okay, I will teach all of you to score one-by-one!”
