Fleetwood Town eye Manchester City-style global network after buying clubs in Dubai and South Africa
Fleetwood Town is attempting to emulate Manchester City's global network of clubs by purchasing two clubs in the United Arab Emirates and Africa.
The club, which is now 19th in League One, owns Fleetwood United in Dubai and Western Cape Fleetwood in South Africa, both third-level clubs. The club's owner, Andy Pilley, wants to see Fleetwood continue to grow and diversify its revenue streams.
The goal is to establish an international academy based at their Poolfoot training facility to trade players.
Pilley remarked, 'We're a forward-thinking organization.' 'It's one thing for Manchester City to form a club network, but who'd have guessed that little old Fleetwood would follow suit?'
'We're starting from the very beginning.' We aim to climb those pyramids while also developing players. Thanks to the fan-led review, it's a method for us to attain sustainability that's hot right now.
'This is a great club.'
