Carlton Palmer has debunked concerns that Cristiano Ronaldo would not be a good fit for interim Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick's style of play.
Several experts, notably Arsenal star Thierry Henry, have questioned Ronaldo's credentials, claiming that the Portuguese prodigy will be unable to match the interim manager's stringent expectations. So much so that some experts feel Ronaldo will eventually be cut from Rangnick's Manchester United plans.
Carlton Palmer, on the other hand, is of a different mind. The claims have been labeled "total nonsense" by him. Here's what he had to say:
"It's just nonsense, in my opinion. Ronaldo is 36 years old, which isn't old if you're in good shape. Would he be on the outside chasing after their full-backs if they played a 4-3-3?
