Man United call up 15-year-old schoolboy Harrison Parker for their FA Youth Cup tie
Manchester United have called up highly-rated 15-year-old schoolboy Harrison Parker to their squad for tonight's FA Youth Cup tie with Scunthorpe United.
The young centre-back left Arsenal's academy in the summer and had a number of clubs chasing his signature but ultimately chose to join United after being invited for a training spell and a tournament in Northern Ireland.
Regarded as one of the best defenders of his age group, Parker has also been capped at England U16 level and United have high hopes of him creating a top flight career for himself.
Yet he'll be spending the day at school first before heading to Old Trafford to meet up with his teammates ahead of tonight's 7pm kick-off.
Parker, who had spent nine years with Arsenal, is technically good with an eye for a pass and is already over 6ft tall.
United have a track record of introducing 15 and 16-year-olds to a competition that is for players up to 18 as they look to test them against older opposition.
