Man Utd dealt Erik ten Hag blow as new Pep Guardiola links give Man City an advantage
Erik ten Hag's claimed pursuit by Manchester United at the end of the season has been foiled. The current Ajax manager may soon be represented by the same agency as Pep Guardiola's brother, Pere, providing Manchester City an advantage in their pursuit of the Dutchman whenever the more well-known Guardiola departs.
The German is scheduled to work as a consultant for two years after a six-month hiatus, leaving United hunting for a new manager in the summer.
In recent weeks, Brendan Rodgers, Mauricio Pochettino, and Ten Hag have all been suggested as potential candidates, but pulling them away from their respective clubs has been difficult.
A summer transfer, on the other hand, seems significantly more likely, providing Leicester, PSG, or Ajax ample time to find a suitable successor.
