Players who accumulate 10 yellow cards in Premier League matches up to and including the 32nd gameweek will serve a two-match suspension in the league.

Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick may have to transfer his squad over the Christmas break due to squad rotation and potential player sanctions.

A player will be suspended for one match if they receive five bookings in their team's first 19 Premier League games; however, bans do not transfer over to the FA Cup.

Before the 32nd gameweek, players who receive 10 yellow cards in Premier League matches would be punished for two games in the league.

After receiving his fifth booking in Newcastle's 4-0 loss to Manchester City, Isaac Hayden, a Newcastle midfielder, will miss the match against United.

Following the postponements against Brentford and Brighton, United have only played 16 league games, and several players will have to tread carefully before their 20th encounter to avoid a suspension.
